inDelicate Balance

This is the compilation of Craig Harris’ computer music composition inDelicate Balance (1989), comprised of 4 movements: “Cloud to Clarity,” “Somewhere between,” “Room Talk,” and “Room Views.” Sound tracks are available for download as a compilation or as individual tracks in mp3 format (great for general music listening), or in wav format (high resolution listening and public presentation). Excerpts for each movement are provided below.

“Room Views” is characterized by the following poetic expression:

Views into the present,
Views into the past,
and the future always becoming itself,
because of what it is,
what it was, and
what it has to be.

Unmemorable, unforgettable moments,
and exquisitely insignificant details,
like gentle ghosts, follow everywhere,
aching to be more than what was
left behind in the mist.
