Inter-Section X – Hear Their Voices
Inter-Section is a feature of the Interference Arts website that provides opportunities for visitors to get quick views into Artistic Director Craig Harris’ work and projects. Inter-Section presents highlights of specific projects with video and audio examples; contextualizes the work; illustrates connections between projects and initiatives; and provides pathways to navigate through the artistic, community development and research projects found on the Interference Arts website.
The April 2026 installment of Inter-Section features the upcoming Legacy Dream Space “Hear Their Voices” events at Studio 212 at the California Building, September 15 and September 16, 2026.

Interference Arts invites you to our special Legacy Dream Space event series Hear Their Voices on September 15 & 16, 2026 to read aloud and audio record the shared offerings of visitors at our recent Legacy Dream Space exhibitions. These events were originally scheduled to happen in July, but due to heat and smoke advisories we thought it best to postpone them. Now we are excited to share these new dates and welcome you to our space!
| Legacy Dream Space is an interactive multimedia exhibition where you are welcomed to share your thoughts about Hope, Loss and Legacy. – What do you want to leave behind in the dustbin of the past? – What do you want to pass on to future generations? – How can we achieve our collective vision for a fruitful and sustainable world for us all? Many visitors write and draw on cards that are posted on the installation walls for all to see, creating a sense of presence that includes those who are in the installation, along with those who have been here before. We scan the offerings, audio record them, and then build the visual and aural offerings into the interactive components for people to explore in different ways. We invite you to join us in contributing to this community-centered “living time capsule”. |
| About Hear Their Voices The event series will include music performed by Craig Harris, a guided walkthrough of the latest version of Legacy Dream Space, and a gathering to capture the thoughts, feelings and memories of those who have been with us in the past. This is a fun activity where we have the opportunity to hear what people have shared in our “living time capsule,” share new offerings, and record the “voices” to be integrated into future versions of Legacy Dream Space. Candy Kuehn will curate personally selected wearable art pieces for people to wear for the evening. There are many offerings to share, so we are scheduling two dates to hold the event. Light refreshments will be provided. Dates: September 15, 2026 September 16, 2026 Doors open at 6:15 PM. The event program begins at 7:00 PM. Because of the nature of the event and the building access issues, we won’t be able to accommodate late arrivals.
