This is the next installment of Candy Kuehn’s digital illustrations of SHE images for use in It is She Who I See. As mentioned in the earlier post, Candy sees in pictures, not in words. These digital illustrations are what she sees in these people that she depicts, and projection designer Jim Peitzman is amazing at interpreting this imagery into his own manifestions of “SHE” for the show. This is what Candy says about Sandra as Kali/Tree of Life:
Sandra Brick is an artist, thinker, entrepreneur and teacher. She studies the Kabala as a Jewish Woman. She practices deep excellence. She likes grids and playfully posed for me at the Textile Center Shop. She is a full tree of life. Her shibori (Japanese stitching tie dye) with nebulas surround her. She works the fabric of the universe.
