2025 Art at the Heart Studio Artists

Craig Harris is Artistic Director of Interference Arts, and is a composer, designer, and performer who creates multimedia dramatic stage works, interactive sculptural environments, and creative story spaces. His work has been presented on stages around the world and at several international festivals and conferences. Craig is a recipient of grants to support his work from the Hanson Institute for American Music, the McKnight Foundation, the American Composers Forum, Jerome Foundation, Rimon, and a Right Here Showcase Commission.

Candy Kuehn creates wearable art, wall pieces, digital illustrations, sculptures, and costumes for dance and movement. Many works live as well on the wall as they do on the body, on the ceiling, on the floor and on the stage. As a painter her mediums ranges from fabric dyes with paints, IPhone apps to ceramic glazes. Her work features whatever makes a person or piece moving and beautiful. She has created costumes and digital illustration projections for dance theatre companies Zorongo Flamenco and Ballet of the Dolls, and for several of Craig Harris’ shows.

Susan Horowitz is a locally based, woman-owned jewelry designer, and is the owner of SHE. Susan creates one-of-a-kind jewelry, using stones from nature and other unique materials, crafting unique pieces for anyone to elevate and transcend to enhance their own personal look. SHE sells to retail boutiques, participates in many fashion shows, provides support to models, and supports the art community by providing jewelry for charitable organizations.

About Interference Arts

Interference Arts employs music, inter-media performance work, arts-based community development and future visioning research to promote healthy individuals and vital, sustainable communities. We are built on the foundation that the arts play an important role in addressing human challenges and breaking down traditional barriers to communication and problem solving. Interference Arts applies the concept “interference” as a paradigm representing the way the company employs the arts to engage with the world – interfering with energy and action to make change – like a canoe paddle coming into contact with the water, or like a butterfly flapping its wings and causing something to happen on the other side of the planet.
